BurgerFi permanently closed its corporate-owned location in North Naples this month. That Creekside Corners endcap was the last of the company’s “better burger” dining concept in Collier County. It opened in August 2016 on the corner of Goodlette Frank and Immokalee roads. BurgerFi’s only other location in Collier County permanently closed in mid-June at the Shops at Eagle Creek in East Naples. The area's only remaining BurgerFi restaurant is at 6881 Daniels Parkway, Suite 110, in Daniels Marketplace, the retail center anchored by Whole Foods Market in south Fort Myers. Fort Lauderdale-based BurgerFi International Inc. announced Sept. 11 that it filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.

When Potbelly Sandwich Works first opened in 1977 in Chicago, it did so as part of an antique store. The brand evolved. It’s now a chain of sandwich shops that makes a point to have antiques inside as decorations.Southwest Florida’s first of a planned eight Potbelly locations opened today. The first one is at the southwest corner of Interstate 75 and Colonial Boulevard, at 8475 Dani Drive, just north of Topgolf Fort Myers. It’s part of a small retail strip called Palmetto Commons with a recently opened Kelly's Roast Beef on one end and an Oar & Iron Raw Bar & Grill coming to the other end.Know more now by reading David Dorsey's Gulfshore Business Magazine story. https://lnkd.in/eEAWSCZn

The multifaceted hospitality venue combining District, The Kitchen, The Mini Bar, Staff Only and The Alley is so unique that the city of Naples had a little difficulty deciding what works and what doesn’t when it comes to its permitting and operation. The local business venture at 1200 Central Ave. was the subject of more than three hours of discussion during the Sept. 4 meeting of City Council.Know more now by reading my latest story. https://lnkd.in/epeuURjb
